August 30, 2008 Wedding

Ceremony:  St. Paul on the Lake, Grosse Pte.

Reception:  Imperial Hall

Bride's bouquet - using mini callas, ivory roses and some lavender freesia.  Mix to be 2/3 ivory and 1/3 lavender

maid of honor and bridesmaid bouquet with ribbon loop collar, ivory vendela roses, light green carnations (for the celadon shade) and light lavender stoc

Throughout this schematic, it is given that we will not be using any of the lavender/red roses.  lilac shades only (cool water, allure or avant garde) will be used so that it matches the shade of lilac/orchid in the wedding party dresses.  The other wedding colors are celadon (rather than the chartreuse or lime), and ivory or champagne.

Linens will be ivory and champagne alternating in pin checked satin tablecloths, with ivory satin ballroom chair covers.  The head table will be dressed in satin ivory pinched tablecloths, bustled up.  The cake table will also use this style cloth as a bustled overlay (hall is skirting all the main tables).  The tables for the hors d'oeuvres and fruit will also have this elegant cover bustled.  Buffet tables will use the standard hall table cloths and skirting.

The doorway will have a silk rental piece of cascading lit orchids and other flowers, similar to the photo in the ormand magazine.

The head table will have a long and low silk rental piece in front of the bride and groom and it will be flanked by large silk rental pieces at either end of the table, facing the guests.  The head table will have uplights underneath.

Cake table and hors d'oeuvres tables will also be uplit from underneath.

The head table will be backed by rented 15 inch square lighted wooden white columns with a variety of silk greenery on the top of each.  These will be further lit by the lighting expert to show lilac and light green.

Dark green and purple will light the ceiling and room walls, with the mirrored walls also be lit in lighter shades of these colors.
